Original 1955 Frontierland Lanterns

Here's a historical Disneyland Secret that most guests walk right under without ever realizing it!

As you step onto the porch of Disneyland's Pioneer Mercantile in Frontierland, look up and you will notice a collection of lanterns hanging from a couple of large wooden beams. The red lanterns are just "modern day" decorations, but the six green lanterns are a piece of historical Disneyland, as these are actual lanterns that were hung around Frontierland during Disneyland's opening year of 1955!
